Where to start with AI automation

Most teams know they should be automating more, but few know where to begin. The temptation is to start with the most ambitious idea in the room. A better approach is to start with the most boring one.

Look for work that is frequent, rule-based and already documented. Weekly reports, invoice matching and lead routing are common examples. These tasks are easy to measure, so you will know within a month whether the automation is earning its keep.

Once the first project is running, write down what it saved. That number makes the case for the second project, and the third. Momentum matters more than scale in the early days.
